Day 5 - GYPO Fall Style Challenge

Here is the outfit:
We definitely have different looks this week. Mom loves black so she swapped the light cardigan for a darker one. I don't have a plaid scarf so I wore two different animal prints..weird? but I think it worked.
Week 1 is complete!!

Day 4 - GYPO Fall Style Challenge

What we're supposed to wear:
It's sill so hot in LA and Newport so we're breezy in our light colored and textured tops!

Day 3 - GYPO Fall Style Challenge

What we're supposed to wear:
Mom buttoned up that flannel and added a statement piece necklace. I wore a flannel dress from a few season ago.

Day 2 - GYPO Fall Style Challenge

What we're supposed to wear:
But it's still so gosh darn hot in LA/OC so I switched the scarf for a sparkly necklace. Luckily it's cold in my office.

Day 1 - GYPO Fall Style Challenge

Here is the outfit that we're supposed to wear:

And here is our interpretation:

Get Your Pretty On

So my Mom got into this website called >Get Your Pretty On< A wonderful woman, Alison Lumbatis, manages a Style Challenges every month so women are motivated to wear stylish outfits that (before the challenge) they probably would have never worn. It's a challenge and a community of women that build each other up. I'd say the demographic is more for women ages 40-60 but I'm doing it with my Mom and we're having a blast!

Our challenge is the "Fall Style Me Pretty Challenge" and every day my Mom and I post #motherdaughterstyle photos.

1-Year Anniversary

We love adventures and celebrating. And what better even to celebrate than one glorious year together! Chris ceases to amaze me with his thoughtful planning. Our 1-year celebration was one for the books!
^Plan for the day. I like the kisses for days!
^Surprised with beautiful flowers
^We're all about the moments, not the things
^His and hers coffee. I like my coffee black.
^Cafe Cup in Huntington Beach
^Cheers at Rudys...where it all began
^We did the ALS ice bucket challenge
^He surprised me with a boat with food, wine, and friends!
^I love him
^Doesn't get much better than this

Uniform

So I have the body of a 12 year old. Stick straight and no curves, which means it makes it easy for me to shop the "younger brands" aka GOOD DEALS!

Classic is key! Black, gray, white, jean, and leopard #swoon

HAIM

Cashed in on my birthday gift from the little bro. He always buys us concert tix for my birthday and Christmas and it's a really fun thing we do together! Last night was HAIM at the Wiltern and those girls are flippin' awesome! And they're from LA so they were stoked to be playing in their hometown.
This is the eldest sister Este. She is a ball of energy and I want to be her friend!
They even did a cover of Beyonce in rock form...I'm girl crushing obviously.

Chi Town // City Sights

I absolutely LOVE Chicago. It's beautiful, full of young people, clean, easy to get around, full of life and so much more! If the weather didn't try to rip your face off in the winter I could contemplate moving there.

Coffee first. Then life can begin >Intelligentsia<
The bean. Obvi.

This is where Lollapalooza was this weekend!
The sculptures in the city change every time I'm there!
Ahh the architecture. The Sears/Wills Tower.
Gorgeous views of the city while we rode Divvy bikes. Why LA doesn't have this service...I'll never know.
Hey good lookin'
Another favorite spot of ours...the J.Parker at Hotel Lincoln
Super hipster, in the best way.
Worth waiting an hour in line to get to the roof!
Sidenote: My bf is such a babe. I mean right?
Gorgeous views.
Now for another fav spot of ours >The Little Goat<
Take a photo in the photo booth while you wait for a delicious meal.
evil goat magnet! We collect magnets on every trip we go on.
And last but not least...>A Girl and the Goat< which is probably our favorite restaurant of all time. GO. THERE.
